When are the Derbies in 2027?
The Calcutta Derby is on Sunday 10 January 2027 at the Calcutta Race Course. The Indian Derby is on Sunday 7 February 2027 at Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, confirmed against the club's race-day programme nearer the date. Dubai World Cup night closes the season on Saturday 27 March 2027 at Meydan Racecourse.
India's winter racing builds to two Derbies, and Dubai closes the season in March.
Kolkata: the Calcutta Derby, Sunday 10 January 2027
The Royal Calcutta Turf Club's Cold Weather Season runs from 7 November 2026 to 31 March 2027 at the Calcutta Race Course. Its peak is the Derby Stakes (Grade 1) on 10 January. Around it sit the Gold Cup (12 December), the Indian Champion Cup (23 January), the Queen's Cup (13 February) and the Governor's Cup (20 February). Members' enclosure entry follows the club's own process.

Mumbai: the Indian Derby, Sunday 7 February 2027
At Mahalaxmi, the Royal Western India Turf Club's classics run in sequence: the Indian 1000 Guineas (20 December), the Indian 2000 Guineas (27 December), the Indian Oaks (17 January) and the Indian Derby (Grade 1) on Sunday 7 February. Derby Day is Mumbai's great society afternoon on the turf. The club lists these races by entry stage, so the race day is confirmed against its programme nearer the date.
Dubai: World Cup night, Saturday 27 March 2027
The season closes at Meydan Racecourse with Dubai World Cup night, per Meydan's official page. It is an evening occasion, so the hotel and car are planned around a late finish.

How we plan it
- Choose the enclosure, not only the date. Each club sets its own dress code and admission rules.
- Plan the hotel and car around race times.
